Don Mueang International Airport

Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) is one of Bangkok’s main airports and a key hub for low cost carriers in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It is located approximately 23 km north of Bangkok city center.

As Thailand’s second busiest airport after Suvarnabhumi Airport, DMK handles a high volume of domestic and international flights, particularly regional and budget services connecting Thailand with Southeast Asia, East Asia, and South Asia.

The airport operates two passenger terminals, with Terminal 1 dedicated to international flights and Terminal 2 serving domestic flights. Both terminals are equipped with modern facilities to ensure passenger comfort and efficiency. Available amenities include check in counters, self service kiosks, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, retail shops, duty free outlets, and convenience stores.

Free Wi Fi is provided throughout the terminals, along with ATMs, currency exchange counters, car rental services, and passenger information desks. The Amari Don Muang Bangkok hotel is directly connected to the terminals via a covered walkway.

Airlines

Don Mueang International Airport is a major base for several low cost and regional airlines. Key operators include Thai AirAsia, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, Thai AirAsia X, and Bangkok Airways. International carriers such as Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, HK Express, Air Macau, and Myanmar Airways International also operate at DMK. Destinations primarily cover domestic routes across Thailand and regional cities including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, and selected destinations in South Asia.

Transportation

Passengers can travel between the airport and Bangkok city center by metered taxis available at official taxi ranks, with travel time typically ranging from 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Public buses connect the airport to various parts of Bangkok, including major transport hubs.

Don Mueang Airport is also linked to the SRT Red Line commuter train via Don Mueang Station, providing rail access to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and connections to the wider rail and metro network. Shuttle bus services operate between Don Mueang International Airport and Suvarnabhumi Airport for transferring passengers.
