Islamabad International Airport

Islamabad International Airport (ISB) is the main international gateway to Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. The airport is located approximately 20 km west of Islamabad city center in Fateh Jang, Punjab. As one of the largest and busiest airports in Pakistan, it serves both domestic and international flights, connecting Islamabad with major cities across Pakistan, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

Facilities

The airport has a single modern passenger terminal handling arrivals and departures. Facilities include check in counters, self service kiosks, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, and passenger service counters.

Travelers can access duty free shops, retail outlets, cafés, and restaurants offering local and international cuisine. Free Wi Fi is available throughout the terminal, along with ATMs, currency exchange counters, medical services, and travel assistance desks.

Airlines

Airlines operating at ISB include Pakistan International Airlines, Air Arabia, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Etihad Airways. These carriers provide connections to major domestic cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, as well as international destinations including Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, and London.

Transportation

Travelers can reach Islamabad city center via taxis, airport shuttle buses, and ride hailing services. Private transfers and hotel shuttles are widely available. The airport is also connected by the Islamabad-Rawalpindi road network, providing direct access to nearby cities and districts.
