Nadi International Airport

Nadi International Airport (NAN) is the main international gateway to Fiji and one of the primary aviation hubs in the South Pacific, located approximately 10 km from Nadi city center on the island of Viti Levu. Operated by Fiji Airports, the airport handles the majority of Fiji’s international passenger traffic and connects the country to destinations across Oceania, Asia, and North America. It serves as the main hub for Fiji Airways and Fiji Link.

Nadi International Airport features a modern international terminal with arrivals and departures facilities, check-in counters, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, retail outlets, and duty-free shopping. Additional facilities include free Wi-Fi, ATMs, currency exchange counters, SIM card providers, car rental services, baggage services, and passenger assistance counters. The airport also provides accessible facilities for passengers with reduced mobility.

Airlines operating at NAN include Fiji Airways, Fiji Link, Air New Zealand, Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Aircalin, Air Niugini, and other regional and international carriers. The airport offers direct connections to destinations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, and several Pacific Island destinations. Both full-service and regional carriers operate scheduled services throughout the year.

Transportation

Travelers can access Nadi, Denarau Island, Lautoka, and surrounding resort areas via taxis, hotel transfers, shuttle services, rental cars, and private transport operators. Major international hotel groups and resorts provide scheduled airport transfer services for guests. The drive from the airport to Nadi town takes approximately 15 minutes, while Denarau Island can be reached in around 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Car rental companies including Avis, Budget, and Hertz operate at the airport.

Nadi International Airport continues to serve as Fiji’s primary international aviation hub, supporting tourism, regional connectivity, and international trade across the South Pacific.
