Queen Alia International Airport

Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the main international gateway to Jordan, located approximately 30 km south of Amman city center. As the country’s largest and busiest airport, it handles the majority of Jordan’s international passenger traffic, connecting the capital to destinations across the Middle East, Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa. The airport is operated by Airport International Group.

Facilities

Queen Alia International Airport operates a modern single passenger terminal designed to accommodate both arrivals and departures under one roof. Facilities include check in counters, self service kiosks, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, duty free shops, retail outlets, and a wide variety of dining options featuring local and international cuisine.

Passengers can access free Wi Fi throughout the terminal, along with ATMs, currency exchange counters, prayer rooms, medical services, and special assistance services. The terminal is known for its spacious design and efficient passenger flow.

Airlines

The airport serves as the main hub for Royal Jordanian and hosts numerous international carriers including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, and British Airways. Destinations include major regional hubs such as Dubai, Doha, Istanbul, and Cairo, as well as long haul routes to cities in Europe and North America.

Transportation

Travelers can reach central Amman by official airport taxis, which operate on fixed fares, or by ride hailing services such as Uber and Careem. The airport express bus provides regular service between the airport and Amman city center. Car rental services are also available on site.
