Sheremetyevo International Airport

Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) is the main international gateway to Moscow, located approximately 29 km northwest of the city center. As one of Russia’s busiest airports, it handles both domestic and international flights, connecting Moscow to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

The airport operates multiple terminals, including Terminals B, C, D, E, and F, catering to arrivals and departures for both domestic and international flights. Food and beverage options range from cafés and fast-food outlets to full-service restaurants, serving both Russian and international cuisine. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminals, along with ATMs, currency exchange counters, business centers, medical services, and travel assistance desks.

Airlines

SVO serves as the main hub for Aeroflot and also hosts a wide range of international carriers, including Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, and Air France. Destinations include major European cities, Middle Eastern hubs, North American cities such as New York and Chicago, and Asian destinations including Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul.

Transportation

Travelers can reach central Moscow via Aeroexpress trains connecting SVO to Belorussky Railway Station. Taxis, ride-hailing services, private transfers, and shuttle buses are also available. Car rentals are widely offered at all terminals.
